Where can I buy Bisolvon® products?
The Bisolvon® range of cough medicines are available from all pharmacies in Australia. If for some reason your local pharmacy does not have a product in stock, you can ask them to order it in for you. It should then be available for you to pick up the next day.

The retail price of Bisolvon® is determined by each individual pharmacy, so it is a matter of checking your local stores.

Can Bisolvon® be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
As with all medications, you should ask for your doctor's advice if you are pregnant, likely to become pregnant or are breastfeeding or likely to be breastfeeding during the course of your medication.

What should I do if I have taken too much Bisolvon®?
Seek medical advice if you have taken more than the recommended dose of any Bisolvon® product. Advice can be provided by a doctor, pharmacist or Poisons Information Centre (phone 13 11 26).

How should Bisolvon® products be stored?
All Bisolvon® products should be kept in a cool dry place.

  -  Bisolvon® Chesty Oral Liquid 250mL and Bisolvon® Chesty Tablets should be stored below 25°C.
  -  Bisolvon® Chesty Forte, Bisolvon® Sinus and Bisolvon® Dry should all be stored below 30°C.

Bisolvon® should not be stored in direct sunlight or heat; for example, do not leave Bisolvon® in the car on hot days. Bisolvon® should be kept where children cannot reach it.

Under what circumstances should I not take Bisolvon®?
Before taking any Bisolvon® product, you should carefully read the patient information leaflet enclosed with the medicine. If there is no leaflet enclosed, you can contact us for a copy.

What is Bisolvon® Chesty used for?

Bisolvon® Chesty contains bromhexine hydrochloride, which helps to clear the chest by thinning the mucus in your air passages, making it easier to expel. Some conditions where coughing is a symptom include: 
- Common cold;
- Influenza;
- Infections of the respiratory tract or other conditions where excess mucus is produced.

- Bisolvon Chesty can be taken for everyday chesty coughs and is suitable for the whole family from 2 years and above.

What is Bisolvon® Chesty Soluble Tablets used for?

Bisolvon® Chesty Soluble tablets are used as a mucolytic to break down mucus and help clear the chest in conditions accompanied by excessive mucus secretions, such as in the common cold, influenza, infections of the respiratory tract or in other conditions where excess mucus is produced.

Can Bisolvon® Chesty Soluble Tablets be used in children?

Bisolvon® Chesty Soluble tablets are not recommended for children under 12 years of age. For children between 2 and 12 years of age, use Bisolvon® Chesty Oral Liquid or Bisolvon® Chesty FORTE Oral Liquid. Alternatively, for children between 6 and 12 years of age, use Bisolvon® Chesty tablets. Do not use Bisolvon® Chesty in children under 2 years.

What is Bisolvon® Chesty Forte used for?

Bisolvon® Chesty Forte acts in the same way as Bisolvon Chesty, to thin sticky mucus and make it easier to expel. However Bisolvon Chesty Forte provides a concentrated dose of bromhexine hydrochloride and is indicated for stubborn chest congestion.

What is Bisolvon® Sinus used for?
Bisolvon® Sinus contains bromhexine hydrochloride which helps clear the chest by thinning the mucus in your air passages. Bisolvon Sinus also contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride which works by relieving nasal congestion.

What is Bisolvon® Dry used for?
Bisolvon® Dry contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant that acts on the cough centre in the brain to suppress a cough.
