When should I use Bisolvon® Dry Liquid?
Bisolvon® Dry Liquid is used to relieve a dry, irritating cough. When you’ve got a non-productive cough, the urge to cough can be so strong that it can be almost impossible to sleep, and persistent coughing can leave you feeling exhausted. Fast-acting Bisolvon® Dry Liquid contains the active ingredient dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant that acts on the cough-reflex centre in the brain to stop the urge to cough.
Symptoms of dry cough
- Nagging tickle in the throat/airways
- Continuous urge to cough without any phlegm
- The chest feels clear, without wheezing or congestion
- The cough sounds dry
- The continuing need to cough may make it hard to sleep at night
How does Bisolvon ® Dry Liquid work?
The active ingredient in Bisolvon® Dry Liquid is dextromethorphan.. It provides relief from dry, irritating coughs by suppressing the urge to cough. Bisolvon Dry Liquid goes to work fast, calming the urge to cough within an hour and lasts up to 6 hours. Bisolvon Dry should not be used for a productive chesty cough.
- Adults and children over 12 years: 5-15 ml every 4-6 hours (max. daily dose: 60ml)
- Children 6 - 12 years: 2.5 – 7.5 ml every 4-6 hours (max. daily dose: 30ml)
- Do not use Bisolvon Dry in children under 2 years
The active ingredient is dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
